刘韧，中央美术学院博士，当代艺术家。1980年出生于秦皇岛。2007年毕业于中央美术学院摄影与数码媒体专业，获硕士学位。2009-2015任教于中央美术学院。现为中央美术学院博士在读，生活和工作于北京。

 

刘韧曾在中国、美国、韩国、荷兰等地举办九次个展，也在比利时、意大利、瑞士、加拿大等地做过几百次群展。包括美国休斯敦莱斯大学个展、澳大利亚悉尼中国文化中心“线索：一个学院和十位艺术家”、美国密歇根州立大学布罗德美术馆“内燃—中国新一代女性艺术邀请展”、中国美术馆“讲述 — 2009海峡两岸当代艺术展”等。作品曾被中国美术馆、荷兰鹿特丹JAN VAN DER TOGT美术馆以及世界各地的其他美术馆收藏。刘韧曾获得多项国内国际大奖，包括2021-2022学年中央美术学院博士研究生学业奖学金全奖、2011年亚洲艺术动物园大赛银奖、2006年法国驻华大使馆和法国文化中心举办的首届摄影比赛一等奖、2006年中国平遥国际摄影节新人奖等。此外，中央电视台、《世界外交报》、《艺术指南》、《亚洲艺术新闻》等媒体也对她进行过多次报道。

 

作品使用包括photoshop、3ds Max在内的软件，将童年记忆和中国当代元素结合在一起，创造一个理想中的世界，这些建筑夹杂着想像中的图像，神秘且让人印象深刻，再现了仅出现在梦境中的现实。

 

Liu Ren is a Ph.D. at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, China,contemporary artist.She was born in 1980 in Qinghuangdao, a seaside town in China Hebei province. In 2007, she graduated with a Master of Arts in Photography and Digital Media from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China, where she was a teacher from 2009 to 2015. Ph.D.candidate at CAFA,China now.

 

Liu Ren held solo exhibitions in China, the United States,Korea, The Netherlands. Her works have been also featured in numerous exhibitions in around Belgium,Italy, Switzerland, Canada among others.Her works can be found in National Art Museum of China in Beijing, in Museum Jan van der Togt in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, as well as in art collections of various galleries around the world.Liu Ren received numerous excellence awards in national and international photography competitions namely Full scholarship of CAFA for the year 2021-2022, Silver Award winner at Asia ArtZoo Competition in 2011, the First Prize Winner at Photography Exhibition at the French Cultural Center in China in 2006, New Person Prize at China Pingyao International Photography Festival 2006 among others.CCTV, le monde, art guide, Asia art news and other media have also reported her works many times.

 

Liu’s works of creative photography are multilayered in visuals and meaning, as she draws on her own experiences, emotions and dreams for inspiration.Using advanced software, she often overlays colorful animals and flora over images of cityscape, imparting her dreams and memories onto reality. While some of her pictorial fantasy lands lean towards the melancholy, her work contains an underlying and unwavering sense of whimsy, nostalgia, and wonder.
