刘韧，当代艺术家，中央美术学院美术学博士。1980年出生于秦皇岛市，2007年毕业于中央美术学院摄影与数码媒体专业，获硕士学位，2009-2015年任教于该校城市设计学院，现为中央美术学院摄影方向博士在读，生活工作于北京和巴黎。其研究及创作涵盖摄影、三维数字艺术、人工智能影像及基于数字技术的3D打印雕塑。

刘韧的作品参加过第十四届全国美术作品展（2024）、休斯敦摄影双年展（2008）、釜山双年展（2008）、上海moca双年展（2008）、莫斯科青年艺术双年展（2008）及首尔媒体双年展（2006）等。她曾在全球多家美术馆和艺术机构做过九次个展和数百次群展，包括美国布罗德美术馆、美国卡托纳艺术博物馆、美国华盛顿子午线国际中心、荷兰Jan Van Der Togt美术馆、韩国首尔市立美术馆、澳大利亚悉尼文化中心、北京中国美术馆、北京中央美术学院美术馆、北京今日美术馆、北京皇城美术馆、北京法国文化中心、台湾美术馆、台北当代艺术馆、上海当代艺术馆、上海朱屺瞻艺术馆、广东美术馆、成都当代影像馆等。作品的公共收藏包括中国美术馆、荷兰鹿特丹JAN VAN DER TOGT、光州文化财团、法国南特Chateau de Maubreuil等机构。曾获“Cross Connections”国际视觉传达与新媒体艺术大赛优秀奖（2024）、亚洲艺术动物园大赛银奖（2011）、法国驻华大使馆和法国文化中心联合举办的首届摄影比赛一等奖（2006）、中国平遥国际摄影节新人奖（2006）。中央电视台、《世界报》、《艺术指南》、《亚洲艺术新闻》等国内外媒体对她进行过多次报道。

刘韧的艺术实践致力于探索内心图景与记忆的视觉转化，融合多种媒介，将个人经验升华为具有普遍意义的视觉叙事。近年来，她尤其关注东西方文化的碰撞与融合，通过解构与重组跨文化符号，打破时空与地域的界限，探讨全球化语境下文化冲突与共生并存的复杂现实。

Liu Ren is a contemporary artist and Doctor of Fine Arts candidate at the Central Academy fo Fine Arts(CAFA) .Born in 1980 in Qinghuangdao,she graduated with a Master of Arts in Photography and Digital Media from CAFA in 2007, where she was a teacher from 2009 to 2015.Currently,she is a Ph.D. candidate in Photography at CAFA,living and working in Beijing and Paris.Her practice spans photography,3D digital arts,AI-generated imagery and digital-based 3D printed sculpture.

Her work has been shown in exhibitions such as the 14th National Fine Arts Exhibition(2024), Fotofest(2008),Busan Biennale(2008),Moca Shanghai Biennale(2008),Moscow International Biennale for Young Art(2008),and Seoul Media Biennale(2006).She has held nine solo exhibitions and participated in hundreds of group exhibitions worldwide, including Broad Art Museum(USA), Katonah Museum of Art(USA), Meridian International Center in Washington, D.C.(USA), Jan van der Togt Museum (Netherlands), Seoul Museum of Art, Sydney Cultural Centre, National Art Museum of China, CAFA Art Museum, Today Art Museum, Huangcheng Art Museum,French Cultural Center in Beijing, Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, Shanghai Contemporary Art Museum,Shanghai Zhu Qizhan Art Museum,Guangdong Museum of Art, and Chengdu Contemporary Image Museum. Her works are held in the permanent collections of the National Art Museum of China,the Jan van der Togt Museum in Rotterdam,Gwangju Cultural Foundation in South Korea,Chateau de Maubreuil in Franch,among others.Awarded the Excellence Award at the Cross Connections International exhibition&competition of visual communication design&emerging media design honorable Mention (2024), the Silver Prize at the Asia ARTZOO Competition (2011) , the First Prize Winner at photography competition organized by the French Embassy and French Cultural Center in China (2006) , and the New Talent Award at the Pingyao International Photography Festival (2006). Liu Ren’s practice focuses on visualizing inner landscapes and personal memory, merging multiple media to translate lived experience into universally resonant narratives. In recent years, she has engaged deeply with the encounter—and interplay—between Eastern and Western cultures. Through deconstructing and recombining cross-cultural symbols, she transcends temporal and geographic boundaries, exploring the nuanced dynamics of cultural coexistence and conflict within an increasingly globalized world.
